Elkhart ISD schools Education: 947 white students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 947 white students enrolled in Elkhart ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Elkhart ISD schools welcomed 1,194 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 79.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Elkhart ISD roughly covers schools within Anderson County and has a main office in Elkhart.

Among the four schools in Elkhart ISD schools, Elkhart Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 252 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
