Enrollment Analysis: Asian students comprised 0.5% of Cayuga ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were three Asian students enrolled in Cayuga ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Cayuga ISD schools welcomed 594 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.5% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Cayuga ISD roughly covers schools within Anderson County and has a main office in Tennessee Colony.

All three schools in Cayuga ISD schools enrolled one Asian students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
