There were 560 students enrolled in Cross Roads ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.9% of them were girls, and 49.1% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 79.3% of the Cross Roads ISD total enrollment.

Cross Roads ISD roughly covers schools within Henderson County with its main office in Malakoff.

Among the three schools in Cross Roads ISD, Cross Roads Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 266 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
