Teague ISD Education: 1,216 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,216 students enrolled in Teague ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.1% of them were girls, and 49.9% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 53.3% of the Teague ISD total enrollment.

Teague ISD roughly covers schools within Freestone County with its main office in Teague.

Among the four schools in Teague ISD, Teague Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 468 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
