There were 32 multiracial students enrolled in Mildred ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 45.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Mildred ISD schools welcomed 834 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 3.8% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Mildred ISD roughly covers schools within Navarro County and has a main office in Corsicana.

Both schools in Mildred ISD schools enrolled 16 multiracial students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
