There were 576 students enrolled in Cayuga ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 7.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.2% of them were boys, and 49.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 79% of the Cayuga ISD total enrollment.

Cayuga ISD roughly covers schools within Anderson County with its main office in Tennessee Colony.

Among the three schools in Cayuga ISD, Cayuga Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 248 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
