Navarro County schools enrollment of gifted and talented students is 790 students in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 03

Navarro County schools enrolled 790 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 99% decrease from the previous school year.

Of the 10,252 students enrolled in Navarro County schools, 7.7% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Navarro County enrolled the 58th highest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
