166 gifted and talented students were taught in Limestone County schools in the 2020-2021 school year

Test 07

Limestone County schools enrolled 166 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is a 13.5% decrease from the previous school year.

Of the 3,675 students enrolled in Limestone County schools, 4.5% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Limestone County enrolled the 123rd highest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
