Three big games — two at McLane — stand between Baylor and the Big 12 title game

It’s been almost exactly two years since Baylor football last hosted a night conference game: Nov. 28, 2020. You might remember that one — quarterback Charlie Brewer accounted for 400+ yards and four touchdowns, and Baylor kicked a field goal as time expired to complete a furious comeback and beat Kansas State, 32-31.

Saturday, the Bears will host those same Wildcats in a high-stakes game under the lights at McLane (6 p.m.). Kansas State comes in ranked 23rd in the nation, thanks to the No. 2 defense in the Big 12. Baylor has won three straight games and features the No. 2 offense in the Big 12.

What are the stakes? Both teams are tied with Texas for second in the Big 12, with just three games to go. Baylor holds its destiny in its hands, with remaining games against all three teams that are tied with or ahead of BU in the standings. If head coach Dave Aranda’s squad can win out, they’ll guarantee themselves a spot in the Big 12 championship game for the second straight year (and the third time in four years).

That’s where we come in, Baylor Family. Two of the Bears’ last three games are right here in Waco, and a strong, loud, supportive crowd could go a long way toward helping carry our team to victory. Don’t miss another comeback; tickets to this Saturday’s game against Kansas State (and the following week’s game against TCU) are now available. Order yours now, and we’ll see you at McLane!

Sic ’em, Bears!
