TWO TOUGH LOSSES TO START 2022
The Lions have suffered two setbacks to start the 2022 season. In Sunday's home opener, the Lions and ULM were tied for the first 70 minutes, before three goals in the last 20 minutes gave the Lions their second consecutive loss of the season.
Jen Peters (Allen) made 14 saves, playing the second half against Oral Roberts and the full match against ULM, which leads the Southland Conference. The Lions improved their shot total by eight in the second match of the season and faced six less shots on goal.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE LIONS
After Thursday's match, the Lions have a week off before taking on the Buffaloes of Colorado on September 1, marking the first time that a team from A&M-Commerce takes on a Power Five conference opponent in the regular season. The trip up to Colorado concludes on September 4 at Colorado College, an affiliate member of the Mountain West conference.
DOUBLE THE FUN!
Dallas natives and twin sisters, Mya Mitchell and Nya Mitchell from Mesquite Horn High School, join the Lions this season.
