Notice of Private Non-Profit Meeting

Elkhart ISD recently issued the following announcement.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE NON-PROFIT MEETING 

March 28, 2022 

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

Virtual Meeting via Google Meet

Elkhart ISD will hold an ESSA Private Non-Profit virtual planning meeting on March 28, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. virtually, via Google Meet to discuss Title I, Part A, Improving Basic Programs (must have qualified students).

- If your facility is a private school, you could be eligible for Title I, Part A services through our district’s resources. 

- If you are a private non-profit school that includes non-profit facilities for neglected and delinquent students, you could be eligible for multiple parts of the grant funding services.

If participating in receipt of funding resources, the Private Non-Profit school will be required to:

* Provide documentation verifying the enrollment of students in the PNP residing in the Elkhart ISD boundaries/area 

* Provide a needs assessment identifying areas of needs for the students attending the PNP residing within the Elkhart ISD boundaries.

Please note: If your school chooses to participate in receiving Title services from the federal government, your students will be required to participate in assessments throughout the school year to provide data on progress. This data will be reported to the federal government through the Texas Education Agency, Grants Administration.

After the consultation, Elkhart ISD will establish the assessments it will use to measure the effectiveness against the agreed-upon standards.

- May use the State assessment or another assessment that is aligned to the agreed-upon standards. 

- All participants are assessed at least annually, including children receiving nonacademic services. If you are interested in participating in these programs, please make plans to attend the meeting, via the Google Meet link at the top of this letter.
