City of Murchison issued the following announcement on Aug. 13
The City of Murchison is now accepting bids for the 2022 mowing season. Each bidder must provide their own equipment, mowers, weed eaters, tractors, etc, as no city equipment will be available. The mowing is for city property including the water/waste water plants, lift stations, lots, and the baseball field. A list of the properties can be obtained at the Murchison City Hall 9540 FM 773, Murchison, TX. 75778, hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
The job will include, but not limited to, mowing, weed eating(no chemical to be used instead of), all trash must be picked up and not mowed over, and no grass may be blown into streets. During the growing season, it will be at the discretion of the city as to the number of times certain areas will be mowed. All companies bidding must provide their own liability insurance with proof upon contract award. Contract will be awarded that provides the best value to the city. Please have all bids submitted by mail at the above address, in person, or by email at murchisontx@earthlink.net. All bids must be received by August 27, 2021 for consideration.
