WASHINGTON — In a recent announcement, House Appropriations Chairwoman Kay Granger revealed that Rep. Jake Ellzey from Texas will be transitioning to the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. This move comes in preparation for the Committee's hearings on the President's Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Request.

Expressing her confidence in the appointment, Chairwoman Granger stated, “I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Jake Ellzey - Congressman from the great state of Texas - to the Defense Subcommittee. A former fighter pilot with 20 years of experience in the Navy, he has been a champion for a strong national defense in Congress and is an excellent addition to the subcommittee. I am confident his experience in the military will be invaluable as we provide our servicemembers with the tools they need to meet and defeat our enemies."
