Of the 6,160 people living in Gun Barrel in 2020, 51.2 percent (3,155) were women and 48.8 percent (3,005) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Central Texas News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 262. In the 65 and over age range, there were 743 females and 860 males.
