Of the 7,319 people living in Mexia in 2020, 50.6 percent (3,702) were women and 49.4 percent (3,617) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Central Texas News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 284. In the 65 and over age range, there were 770 females and 451 males.
