HONORING ANGELITA SEDA FOR HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

______

HON. DARREN SOTO

of florida

in the house of representatives

Thursday, September 30, 2021

Mr. SOTO. Madam Speaker, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, I honor Angelita Seda. Angelita was born in Brooklyn, New York to Puerto Rican parents. She began her career as a home health aide at a senior care center where she developed a passion for healthcare. After earning her nursing degree, she pursued higher education at Northern Essex Community College in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where she received degrees in medical assistance and billing.

Angelita loves her family. She has four daughters and one grandson. Her biggest asset is her tenacious attitude and willingness to keep trying to help people in need. Throughout her career, she has seen many people in need of quality healthcare, which has led her to develop a work ethic based on empathy for her patients.

As a senior licensed practical nurse at the Florida Department of Health in Osceola County, her responsibilities include school health and ensuring students remain healthy. Angelita has worked to provide back-to-school vaccinations and health screenings for school-aged children. She continues to play an important role in COVID-19 testing and vaccinations at the health department.

For this and more, we honor Angelita Seda.
