MEMORIALS
Under clause 3 of rule XII, memorials were presented and referred as follows:
ML-103. The SPEAKER presented a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Oregon, relative to Senate Joint Memorial 3, urging the President and Congress of the United States to provide and fund an expedient and efficient system to fully reimburse state and local government property owners and private property owners for damage to real property that results from the spreading of wildfires originating on federal lands; to the Committee on Agriculture.
ML-104. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to House Joint Resolution 21, urging the designation of a state funeral for the last surviving World War II Medal of Honor recipient; to the Committee on Armed Services.
ML-105. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to House Joint Resolution 14, urging Congress to categorize public safety telecommunicators as a protective service occupation under the federal Standard Occupational Classification System; to the Committee on Education and Labor.
ML-106. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to House Joint Resolution 19, proclaiming the month of May as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Awareness Month and urging the President and Congress of the united states to enact legislation to provide additional funding for research in order to find a treatment and a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis; to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
ML-107. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to Senate Joint Resolution 17, urging congress to allow Montana to enact year-round daylight saving time; to the Committee on Energy and Commerce.
ML-108. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to House Joint Resolution 9, urging the President of the United States and the United States Congress to end the endless war in Afghanistan, to repeal the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force, to take no action to employ military forces of the United States in active duty combat unless the United States Congress has passed an official declaration of war or has taken an official action or renewed action to authorize the use of military force, and to execute a prudent foreign policy; to the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
ML-109. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to Senate Joint Resolution 7, urging the United States Congress to remove the Hidden Pasture Wilderness Study Area from further wilderness study designation; to the Committee on Natural Resources.
ML-110. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to Senate Joint Resolution 10, urging Congress to appropriate funding under the Energy Act of 2020 for the development of carbon capture technologies at the Colstrip Electric Generating Station in Rosebud County, Montana; to the Committee on Natural Resources.
ML-111. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Oklahoma, relative to Senate Joint Resolution No. 23, requesting the Congress of the United States call a convention of the states to propose amendments to the Constitution of the United States; to the Committee on the Judiciary.
ML-112. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to Senate Joint Resolution 16, urging prompt congressional and presidential approval for the Keystone XL Pipeline; to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
ML-113. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Montana, relative to House Joint Resolution 5, declaring that the taxation of privately held guns is unconstitutional and does not have the power of law and is, therefore, unenforceable; to the Committee on Ways and Means.
ML-114. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Alaska, relative to House Joint Resolution 14, supporting the passage by the United States Congress of the SAFE Banking Act of 2019, sec. 110606 of the Heroes Act, or similar legislation relating to cannabis-related legitimate businesses' access to financial services; jointly to the Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure and Financial Services.
ML-115. Also, a memorial of the Legislature of the State of Alaska, relative to Senate Joint Resolution 9, urging the United States Congress to exempt cruise ships from certain provisions of the Passenger Vessel Services Act and other applicable provisions of federal law for the period during which Canadian ports are closed to cruise ships carrying more than 100 people; and urging the President of the United States not to fine or take actions against cruise ships sailing to the state; jointly to the Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure and Financial Services.
