City of Palestine recently issued the following announcement.

Veterans Day Parade set for November 6th

The Veterans Day Parade is set for Saturday, November 6th.

Route: The parade will start at the Anderson County Courthouse, proceeds to Avenue A., right on Oak St., and disperse at the Palestine Farmers Market.

Awards: Best Band, Best Car/Truck/Van, Best Car Club, Horses Best In Show, Veterans Best In Show, Stars and Stripes Award best In Honoring Veterans

Identification: Participants are required to identify their entry by:

  1. Affixing a 22” x 24” sign on the left side of the entry, including the name of the organization, individual, or business.
Check-In: Check-in will be at the corner of Church and Crawford beginning at 8:00 a.m.

Registration and Check-In are required for all participants.

VETERANS PARADE

NOVEMBER 6, 2021

Applications Due: In order to be judged, you must turn your application in by November 4th at 3:00 p.m. to the Palestine Visitor Center. You can still participate in the parade on Saturday morning, but you will not be judged to win an award. Awards are to be presented at the end of the parade by the Parade Grand Marshall.
